Little Falls-History and Fun
Monday, March 19, 2018
Little Falls is one of the oldest communities in Minnesota. For true small town charm, but still with booming business and industry, Little Falls is a great place to visit or call home. Little Falls was the home of aviator Charles Lindbergh. In 1927, Lindbergh flew from New York to Paris. This was the first solo transatlantic flight and the first non-stop flight from North America to Europe. An exciting museum dedicated to Charles Lindbergh is open for visits, along with the Minnesota Fishing Museum. Visit Camp Ripley to tour the extensive Military Museum with lots of military vehicles outside to climb around on.
In September, enjoy shopping at one of the largest art and craft fairs in the Upper Midwest held in Little Falls
The city's website has lots of information on what to do on a visit to Little Falls. Bike, hike, ATV or snowmobile one of the many trails. Little Falls is packed with parks to visit and for more fun for kids visit the Pine Grove Zoo. It's a fun, clean zoo for the whole family. Little Falls even has a ballet and orchestra to check out. Golf at the Little Falls Country Club or play disc golf at the local Assembly of God church. There's also fishing all year long at area lakes. For fun for the whole family Little Falls has it all. Come visit and see for yourself!
