Royalton is a progressive community with a young population. The median age is 34. With a population of 1,242, Royalton is a small but growing community. Located on the Platte River, Royalton has thriving businesses and great schools!

The activities span the whole year in Royalton from Christmas events to Platte River Day, Royalton’s city celebration. There's even a rodeo! The other amenities in town include a community center, Royalton History Museum and a Splash Pad! For parks Royalton has lots of places to play. There's playgrounds, a disc golf course, a skateboard park and the Soo Line Bike Trail. Crane Meadows National Wildlife Refuge which was established as a natural wetland refuge in 1992 is located near Royalton.

For clubs and organizations Royalton has a lot of options. There's 4-H, Legion, Scouts, Friends of the Library, Royalton Business Association, Royalton Lion’s Club, Royalton Sportsman’s Club, and Woman’s Study Club.
