Upsala-A Charming Small Town

Monday, April 16, 2018

For a small town with a neat and charming downtown, Upsala is the place to visit or even move! Check out the “city that is always looking up.” Cedar Lake Campground operated by the American Legion has one of the best beaches around. Pine Lake within 4 miles of town also has great fishing and a public access. The Upsala City Park has lots of sport activities and a reservable shelter. Area amenities also include a public library and community center. Upsala also has a nice new high school. For a small town the Upsala downtown is new and updated with multiple businesses. The Borgstrom House and nature trails are a place to visit in town. The Borgstrom family was influential in Upsala in the late 1800’s. John S. Borgstrom was a farmer but also opened a photography studio and eventually partnered up with another gentleman to start Farmer’s State Bank in town.

Upsala has a rich history and they celebrate that each year in August. There's music, a parade, a car show, and fireworks. For kids there's a party in the park with inflatables, water fights, a petting zoo and kid’s games.

For fun and lots to see Upsala has it all! Don't miss a visit here to check out the parks and all the great amenities!
