Long Prairie is the county seat for Todd County and has a population of about 3,500. It is near beautiful Lake Charlotte, a great spot for lake lovers. The town continues to expand with a new hospital and assisted living facility. The downtown is going through a revitalization project to expand business offerings. There's also an industrial park and an incubator building with affordable rent and utilities to get new businesses off their feet or expand current businesses. The new incubator building is located in the industrial park and is 1,500 square feet divided into four units. There is ample customer and truck parking. Any or all areas of the building are available for rent. The Southwest Industrial Park has twenty, one to five acre lots ready to build with easy access to highway 71, a major highway. The utilities are all available. Long Prairie is also part of the state’s JOBZ program. There are over 300 acres available for new industrial opportunities and business expansion. As part of this there may be exemptions available from some taxes. There are also credits available for job creation.
