Royalton City Council approves financing for First Street South

Thursday, September 22, 2016

The Royalton City Council now has a plan to pay for the First Street South/Industrial Park water project. The project will replace the water line and street on First Street South, and add new infrastructure to the industrial park.

At Tuesday’s meeting, the Council debated the merits of paying for the project out of the city’s water fund, or getting financing through a lender.

Councilman Ron Verley argued the city should pay for the project on its own, so it would take in all the money the system makes.
